Windows Media Player is a free browser plug-in and piece of software that is used for playing videos and audio tracks. Find out here how to install the Windows Media Player plug-in on Safari for Mac.
Windows Media Player was no different. While the PC version is now onto 11, Windows Media Player for Mac stopped on version 9 and has now been abandoned. It has been replaced by Flip4Mac which is the Microsoft officially endorsed Windows Media Player for Macs. I was unable to download the Windows player for the Macbook Pro. It downloaded as a 'sitx' file which mac did not know how to translate. If you are downloading Windows Media Player you will also need to download Stuffit Expander as Microsoft have used Stuffit to compress the installation file and Tiger now no longer comes with Stuffit.
